Schedule for Judging Tech Challenge 2005

About two weeks prior to the Tech Challenge Science Expo, judges will receive further information about judging, assignments, and parking instructions. Judges should take time to review that information. On the day of the Exposition the time commitment for judges is as follows:

Monday, March 7, 2005
8 :30-9:30AM      Judges need to be on site at the Oregon Institute of Technology to participate in a Judges                             Orientation. During this time judging panels will be assembled and student abstracts will be                             reviewed.

10:00-11:45AM   Judges view the exhibits without the students being present.

11:45AM-12:45PM Judges lunch time, with lunch provided by the Oregon Institute of Technology.

1:00-5:00PM        Judges interview students at their exhibits. The interview time is the most valuable part of                              the fair for the participants. Based upon the number of entrants, judges may finish earlier.                              Judges convene to determine the results and to declare the winners. Judges report their                             decisions to the Tech Challenge Science Expo Coordinator, Kevin Sims. Judges are free                              to leave upon the conclusion of these duties.

5:00-8:00PM        Public viewing of projects.
