NWSES Sponsorship Opportunities

The Northwest Science Expo (NWSE) invites you to become a sponsor of our annual science research competition.  The mission of the Northwest Science Expo is to develop scientific talent and promote science literacy in Oregon students. NWSE is a Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair-affiliated science fair held for 5th through 12th grade students since 1984. 450 middle and high school students competed in the 2023 NWSE. Participants come from all parts of Oregon. The award ceremony is usually attended by over 600 students, teachers and parents.

NWSE is a project of Research and Graduate Studies at Portland State University. Awards are presented in each category and by many government agencies, businesses and community groups. Six top projects win an expense-paid trip to compete in the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair in May.  Should you choose to become a sponsor, we can display your logo on our website and link to a site you designate, if you desire.

We are also seeking sponsors for the Northwest Science Expo System (NWSES). The system is comprised of Oregon’s seven regional science expos and headed by the Northwest Science Expo. NWSES supports the travel expenses and related costs for Team Oregon. Team Oregon is the group of high school students who qualify for the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) each year. Since 2004 Team Oregon students have earned over $3,900,000 in prizes and scholarships. Oregon students have won Best Team and Best Individual. Companies that sponsor NWSES will be included in each expos sponsor recognition. The cost to send a student to ISEF is estimated at $2000, which includes registration, lodging, airfare, per diem and a portion of the chaperone expenses.

We are seeking sponsors at these levels, the category sponsor is offered for NWSE only.
