The Intel Northwest Science Expo will be March 14, 2008.

Middle School Schedule 2008 Intel NWSE
All events take place on the Portland State University Campus. For safety and security reasons, students are required to wear name tags at all Intel NWSE events.
Thursday March 13, 2008
5-9pm Exhibit setup and Safety Check at Peter Stott Center . All Posters must be set-up during this time. The student does NOT need to be present. Safety Checkers will assist in set-up and approve displays. Projects using ISEF Forms must have their paperwork checked as well. After an exhibit is approved, it will receive a Safety Check approved sticker to place on the exhibit placard.
Friday March 14, 2008
9:00 -10:00 am Registration table open.
9:40 am Any students adding items to their exhibits will be escorted to their tables and the items safety checked.
10:00- 12:30 am Students interviewed by judges at their exhibits. Students must be at their exhibit during the whole judging time. No food or sound-producing electronics, including cell phones, are allowed in the gym. Bottled water will be allowed in the gym. No Parents or Adult Sponsors are allowed in the gym during judging. We recommend bringing a book to read between judge interviews.
11-12 pm Adult Sponsor Lunch at Paccini.
12:30-1:45 pm Lunch break . A map of restaurants is available at the Registration Table
2:00 pm Best of Fair nominees announced. Only these students remain in gym for interviews. Best of Fair interviews end at 3:10pm.
2:15-3:15 pm High School Exhibits open to the public and press in the Smith Ballroom.
3:15- 4:15 pm Middle School Exhibits open to the public and press in Peter Stott Center . Students may be at their projects.
4:30-5:30 pm Middle School Award Ceremony in Peter Stott Center Gym. Students sit at their exhibits and need to lay down their posters.
5:30-6:30 pm Middle School Public Viewing (optional) Posters need to be removed by 6:45pm.

High School Schedule 2008 Intel NWSE, Friday March 14th
All events take place on the Portland State University Campus. For safety and security reasons, students are required to wear name tags at all Intel NWSE events.
7:30 AM 8:30 AM Exhibit setup and Safety Check in Smith Center room 355 . Students set up their displays and must remain at their displays until passed by the safety check team in yellow construction hats. Students should then get their Exhibit Check sheet signed by the Paperwork table on the stage. The SRC will give the students a Safety Check Pass Card to display at the exhibit. Students leave the exhibit area when they have completed the Safety Check.
Please note: High School Students are required to be present for Safety Check. It is NOT sufficient for adults to do this.
8:45 AM 10:30 AM PSU tours and activities. Get tickets at the Registration Desk.
8:45 AM 10:30 AM Judges view exhibits without students present.
10:45 AM 1:15 PM Students interviewed by judges at their exhibits. Students must be at exhibit during the whole time for judging. 2:15PM 3:15 PM Exhibits open to the public, press and middle school students in Smith Center . Students are required to be at their projects. They will be assigned to be by their own exhibits for half of this time. The rest of the time can be used to view other projects.
3:15 PM Announcement of HS Best of Fair candidates. Many award decisions are made before finalist judging; over 300 awards will be given at the award ceremonies.
3:20 PM 4:45 PM Best of Fair candidates interviewed
5:00 PM Dinner break starts . A map of restaurants is included in the school packet.
5:00 7:30 PM Exhibits open to public without students present. Students are welcome to return to their exhibits and talk to the public before the awards ceremony.
6:30 8:00 PM Awards Ceremony at Hoffman Hall . Students must be present to receive awards.

8:00 9:30 PM Students remove projects . All projects need to be removed or they will be discarded.
